About The Position

This is a full-time hourly position, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor in Boston, MA. The role is a member of the Bargaining Unit Member of the IUOE, Local 877, with compensation at $36.80 per hour. The Plant Laborer performs a variety of cleaning duties and assists crafts people as required.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Must submit to company provided pre-employment physical exam and drug screening
Must possess a valid driver license in good standing in order to operate a company vehicle
Must have and maintain a driving record meeting the standards of the company
Required to lift and / or operate machinery, tools, etc., weighing up to 50 pounds, unassisted
Required to work in confined spaces
Required climbing ladders, and / or stairs
Required to work in all adverse conditions, both indoors and outdoors all seasons
Required to work in hot areas

Responsibilities

Uses all hand and power tools to maintain/repair equipment
Performs a variety of assignments pertaining to cleaning duties, also assists crafts people when required
Maintain proper lubrication of equipment
Maintains exterior grounds of plant
Assist in training other Laborers
Performs cleaning and housekeeping
Obtain and deliver materials and supplies, drive company vehicles
Performs utility labor
Assist others as required
All other related duties
