About The Position

We are hiring dependable Laborers to work at an active sand mine processing plant. This role supports daily plant operations including cleanup, material handling, and assisting maintenance crews. This is a hands-on, physically demanding position working around conveyors, screening equipment, and heavy machinery. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity . Candidates who show strong work ethic, attendance, and safety awareness will have the opportunity to be brought on permanently by the client.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a mine, quarry, sand plant, aggregate plant, or industrial setting preferred
• Comfortable working around conveyors and processing equipment
• Understanding of basic safety procedures (lockout/tagout knowledge preferred)
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly
• Willingness to work overtime when needed
• Reliable transportation and strong attendance
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening

Nice To Haves

• MSHA certification (current or previous)
• Experience assisting plant maintenance crews
• Experience working around heavy equipment
• Familiarity with wash plants or screening plants

Responsibilities

• Shovel and clean material spillage around conveyors and plant equipment
• Assist with clearing plugged chutes and buildup (following proper lockout/tagout procedures)
• Support maintenance crews with screen changes, roller replacement, and general plant upkeep
• Grease bearings and assist with preventative maintenance tasks
• Maintain safe, clean work areas
• Follow all site safety rules and wear required PPE
• Work around heavy equipment including loaders and haul trucks
