Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field preferred, and 5+ years relevant experience in manufacturing facilities
  • Good project management skills with a proven track record of deploying and moving solutions to operational readiness in a 24/7 production environment.
  • Keen ability to break down complex task into reportable smaller components to maintain visibility
  • Ability to prepare, organize, and present technical decision papers to upper management
  • Good working knowledge of ITIL Service Design, Transition, and Operations processes
  • Deep understanding of system integration technologies between hardware technologies and software solutions
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in large hardware integration projects and modern IT architecture concepts.
  • Experience working with monitoring solutions to provide transparency to business and responsible supporting resources
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues, then develop improved solutions to mitigate or eliminate issue recurrence.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate high level needs into clear architecture requirements.
  • Innovative mindset with ability to think outside the box and deliver, when necessary, temporary solutions to meet emergency demands.
  • Ability to work with others efficiently and effectively in a dynamic greenfield environment.
  • Minimum of High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required for all roles at Scout Motors, Inc.

Responsibilities

  • Perform technical planning across multiple technology domains (compute, storage, client, network, physical cable management, production asset management, and infrastructure components) throughout factory site
  • Interface and lead end to end process investigation with business and 3rd party partners to identify and address key IT touch points and impacts to plant operations, ensuring efficient integration into factor operations
  • Create and maintain Technology Architecture documentation for transparency
  • Integrate manufacturing technology solutions into Scout cybersecurity strategy
  • Assess requirements and deliver solutions in accordance with the Production business requirements
  • Project manage and track assigned technology portfolio necessary to ensure operational readiness for factory operations
  • Support continuous improvement processes on the production floor.
  • Identify Automated Solutions which promote self-healing and self-service technologies to support business process maturity or improvement
  • Works with the application specialist and enterprise architecture team to identify infrastructure components impacting key performance indicators
  • Ensure monitoring and visualization capabilities are made available to support teams to aid in efficient recovery if an issue is encountered
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices related to manufacturing systems
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) production system architecture, providing technical expertise and guidance to Plant stakeholders
  • Lead during the early phases of a project/initiative, responsible for scoping the project, gathering requirements, collaboration with domain architects, and leading the teams to put together a scalable and sustainable solution.
