Working in our Plant Health Care program will allow you an opportunity to work across the Park Operations Division, helping to complete plant health care needs within Forestry, Open Space, Horticulture, and Turf Grass. This program plays a key role in completing trunk injections of public ash trees, pre-emergent herbicide applications, and weed management, and provides a unique experience in learning more about managing the health of plants in our city landscapes. This is a very fast-paced position within our department, providing a critical service to protect and enhance our valuable natural resources and public parks. About Our Culture: At the City of Grand Junction, we lead the way with continuous improvement, collaborative partnerships, and exemplary service. Our core values are demonstrated by our willingness to challenge the status quo, our ability to work together using all areas of expertise to achieve a common goal, and our commitment to fulfilling the needs of our community through thoughtful interactions. Any role you select to be a part of in our system, you will be exposed to everything our parks department offers and the services we provide to our community.
