About The Position

The Plant Health Care Team at SavATree consists of specialists dedicated to inspecting plant material, identifying problems, and ethically treating or preventing issues that trees and shrubs may face. They act as "detectives," solving plant disease and infestation puzzles. This role offers the opportunity to work outdoors and visit various properties within the community. The primary focus is on ensuring the health and well-being of trees and shrubs on client landscapes within a specific territory, which includes monitoring, diagnosing, and treating pest and disease infestations. Specialists are responsible for selecting appropriate products or treatments, interacting with clients, providing written diagnostic reports, and ensuring complete customer satisfaction. SavATree's mission is to preserve and enhance the country's outdoors through comprehensive tree, shrub, and lawn care. The company has expanded significantly over thirty years and seeks individuals eager to grow with them. Requirements

  • Willingness to complete required trainings to obtain needed certifications & licenses
  • Desire to work outdoors
  • Valid Driver’s license to operate service-line vehicles
  • Must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S.
  • The responsibility and independence to work autonomously
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills to understand and meet client needs
  • Willingness to learn Tree/Plant Identification
  • Willingness to learn how to safely and properly use spray and application equipment

Nice To Haves

  • A desire to grow, craves opportunity, loves problem solving and process improvement
  • A Degree in Arboriculture, Urban Forestry, Horticulture, Plant Science, Plant Pathology, Environmental Sciences, Landscape Management, Turf-grass, or similar experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Inspect plant material
  • Identify problems affecting trees and shrubs
  • Ethically treat or prevent problems that trees and shrubs may face
  • Monitor, diagnose, and treat pest and/or disease infestations on client properties
  • Select the most appropriate product or treatment for each problem
  • Interact with clients
  • Educate clients with written diagnostic reports detailing landscape conditions
  • Ensure complete customer satisfaction
