About The Position

The Plant Health Care Team at SavATree is dedicated to inspecting plant material, identifying problems, and ethically treating or preventing issues that trees and shrubs may face. This role offers the opportunity to work outdoors and visit beautiful properties within the community. The primary focus is on ensuring the health and well-being of trees and shrubs on clients’ landscapes in a specific territory, which involves monitoring, diagnosing, and treating pest and/or disease infestations. Specialists are responsible for selecting the most appropriate product or treatment for each problem. Additional duties include interacting with clients, educating them through written diagnostic reports detailing landscape conditions, and ensuring complete customer satisfaction. Requirements

  • Willingness to complete required trainings to obtain needed certifications & licenses
  • Desire to work outdoors
  • Valid Driver’s license to operate service-line vehicles
  • Must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S.
  • QAL or QAC certification

Nice To Haves

  • A desire to grow, craves opportunity, loves problem solving and process improvement
  • A Degree in Arboriculture, Urban Forestry, Horticulture, Plant Science, Plant Pathology, Environmental Sciences, Landscape Management, Turf-grass, or similar experience preferred
  • The responsibility and independence to work autonomously
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills to understand and meet client needs
  • Willingness to learn Tree/Plant Identification
  • Willingness to learn how to safely and properly use spray and application equipment

Responsibilities

  • Inspect plant material
  • Identify problems in trees and shrubs
  • Ethically treat or prevent problems in trees and shrubs
  • Monitor, diagnose, and treat any pest and/or disease infestations occurring on client properties
  • Select the most appropriate product or treatment for each problem
  • Interact with clients

  • Ensure complete customer satisfaction
