About The Position

Viskase Loudon, located just outside Knoxville, TN, is undergoing a major expansion of its production facilities and EHS programs to support exciting new business growth. As a dynamic 24/7/365 artificial casing manufacturing site, we're seeking an experienced and passionate EHS Manager ready to drive impactful change and lead transformative safety and environmental initiatives. This is a high-visibility role with the opportunity to shape and lead all aspects of Environmental, Health, and Safety at our Loudon plant. You'll take ownership of developing and implementing safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a behavior-based safety culture across our fast-paced operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related technical field; or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of EHS leadership experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of industrial hygiene, environmental compliance, OSHA regulations, and emergency response protocols.
• Demonstrated success in building and maintaining a strong safety culture.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
• Hands-on experience leading EHS audits, risk assessments, and regulatory inspections.

Nice To Haves

• Certification or facilitation experience in problem-solving, communication, or quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation, development, and enforcement of Corporate and site-specific EHS programs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations; maintain accurate OSHA logs and all environmental reporting.
• Coordinate and deliver safety training programs and employee communications.
• Oversee and certify new and modified manufacturing equipment for EHS compliance.
• Manage Workers Compensation programs, claims, and vendor relationships.
• Conduct site audits, inspections, and investigations to identify and resolve safety risks.
• Administer industrial hygiene programs including noise monitoring, hearing conservation, and respiratory protection.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with plant leadership to embed safety into daily operations.
• Serve as the point of contact for OSHA inspections, correspondence, and regulatory agencies.
• Maintain and continuously improve the Viskase Operating System as it relates to EHS.
