About The Position

The Plant Engineering & Technical Services Manager at Ocean Spray will lead the design, development, and implementation of technical systems improvements to enhance manufacturing reliability and process capability. This role is crucial during a significant phase of the business, focusing on continuous improvement initiatives, sustainability, and financial management of projects.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the design, development, and implementation of technical systems improvements.
• Direct engineering/technical services, process control, capital planning, and support systems.
• Responsible for continuous improvement initiatives related to engineering.
• Support sustainability through optimized energy management and packaging reduction initiatives.
• Responsible for financial management of projects.
• Develop and sustain capability to rapidly ramp-up new products, packages, and processes.
• Drive key initiatives in fixed asset management, plant layout & flow manufacturing, line constraint optimization, FDA/GMP/AIB/SQF compliance, safety, and automation.
• Engage in budgeting, planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating, and delegating for Controls & Automation and Maintenance.
• Serve as a Change Agent to elevate staff member's capabilities.
• Develop the plant's strategic direction, establish priorities, and allocate resources.
• Work with plant functional managers to maintain a positive employee relations environment.
• Manage employees for effective selection, retention, development, and performance management.
