About The Position

The Maintenance & Reliability Manager is responsible for managing maintenance and reliability across the entire plant. Duties include coordinating and directing the Maintenance department to identify and resolve problems and develop and execute effective and efficient processes. Work side-by-side with Engineering on capital projects & planning, ensuring plant performance meets and exceeds KPIs. Provides leadership and support for local environmental systems and permits; supports Operations & Plant Manager on other plant-wide initiatives and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline
  • 7+ years relevant experience
  • Requires Supervisory experience
  • Proven root cause analysis and problem-solving training, techniques, and tools
  • Well versed in collaborating with maintenance, quality, and safety leadership to achieve operational goals
  • Proven ability to develop others
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and technical skills

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Products (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • 15+ years relevant experience
  • Master's degree in related field
  • Familiar with beverage processing and its associated equipment

Responsibilities

  • Manage maintenance and reliability across the entire plant.
  • Coordinate and direct the Maintenance department to identify and resolve problems.
  • Develop and execute effective and efficient processes.
  • Work with Engineering on capital projects and planning.
  • Ensure plant performance meets and exceeds KPIs.
  • Provide leadership and support for local environmental systems and permits.
  • Support Operations & Plant Manager on plant-wide initiatives and projects.
  • Meet and exceed customer expectations through management of the Plant Maintenance Departments.
  • Monitor and enforce all OSHA and Company safety regulations and policies.
  • Lead safety programs for the Maintenance Departments.
  • Assist in the investigation of EH&S incidents.
  • Ensure all Maintenance Team Members meet regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, and TTB regulations.
  • Manage Maintenance leads to achieve target and stretch plans.
  • Support various department managers to accomplish Safety objectives, Quality Standards, Company Policies, and Production requirements.
  • Train, monitor, evaluate, and develop all Maintenance team members.
  • Provide technical assistance for best practice resolution of safety, quality, and performance issues.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts across the Maintenance Department.
  • Evaluate production efficiency and cost; plan, organize, and direct improvements and corrective action plans.
  • Establish work schedules, best methods, standard operating procedures, and priorities to meet established efficiency and quality goals.
  • Support the development of PM programs, CMMS, and down-time tracking systems.
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of operational improvement through system and process changes.
  • Provide support to the New Product Development Team in developing new products within timelines and budgets.
  • Determine best method for production and equipment needed; purchase equipment at best price and oversee installation and startup.
  • Provide ongoing engineering expertise to maximize output and minimize downtime.
  • Continually seek ways to improve performance as measured by departmental Key Performance Indicators.
