About The Position

Under direct supervision install, inspect, repair, service, and maintain hospital mechanical systems, facilities, and equipment.

Requirements

• Three to five years' experience in building maintenance.
• Familiarity with codes and regulations.
• Ability to drive hospital vehicle.
• Clear Communication Skills Both Written and Verbal
• Knowledge Of Basic Computer Programs
• Able To Keep Confidential Information Regarding Patients, Team Members
• Able To Withstand Crisis Situations
• Has Skills to Provides Customer Service to Patients, Team Members and Visitors
• Proof Of Current/Valid Car Insurance
• Valid DL With No More Than 3 Moving Violations
• High school graduate or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Inspect and operate refrigeration, heating, cooling, and air conditioning systems and other equipment to assure that all are functioning properly.
• Install new equipment and systems; repair and maintain equipment and systems as needed.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance work on systems and equipment.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance with repair and emergency work activities.
• Assist other trades personnel as required.
• Act as work crew leader when work project requires it.
• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications; follow manufacturers instructions and specifications in operation, repair, and maintenance of systems.
• Maintain records, reports, and statistics as required; maintain appropriate manuals, blueprints, and other such materials.
• Keep work areas orderly, clean, and safe.
• Care for and maintain department equipment and supplies.
• Maintain established hospital policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control; comply with codes and requirements of accreditation and regulatory agencies.
