We are currently looking for an Electrician to join our growing team at our Saratoga, NY location. This position is a Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm schedule. Our Electricians are responsible for start-up, normal operation, monitoring and shutdown of all electrical systems and emergency generator equipment; troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and repair work of all facilities electrical equipment. We maintain the site’s electrical distribution systems in a state of electrical code compliance. As an Electrician, you will truly be "keeping the lights on" to ensure continuous manufacturing of our life-saving products. As an Electrician, a typical day might include the following: Maintaining electrical power system equipment and stand-by power generation equipment including emergency generators and Uninterruptible Power Supplies, as well as accurate electrical one-line drawings and panel schedules. Maintaining inventory of essential fuses, circuit breakers, spare parts as well as electrical test equipment and tools. Directing outside service providers and junior electricians in the performance of electrical maintenance and repair work. Assisting cross-functional Technicians in troubleshooting and issue resolution of facility or process equipment. Installing and replacing lighting, electrical equipment, network and computer wiring. Scheduling work and maintaining all preventative maintenance for all on-site electrical infrastructure and equipment including AC and DC systems. Maintaining work record documentation in computerized maintenance management system to GxP expectations. Performing electrical energized work permit including job safety briefing, checklist and risk assessment. Performing meggar, ground-fault, phase to phase to neutral/ground, phase rotation, Transformer turns ratio, infrared and other inspection and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment. Implementing temporary protective grounding. Performing arc flash incident energy calculations per NFPA 70E. Determining restricted, limited approach and arc flash boundaries. Developing and performing electrical safe LOTO including authoring LOTO procedures. Selecting and wearing appropriate arc rated clothing, equipment and electrical PPE in performance of work per NFPA requirements. Attending and maintaining all required training on electrical safety procedures, powered industrial truck/lifts as well as all GxP training.
