About The Position

Diamond Foundry Inc. is solving the thermal limitation at the foundation of today's most exciting tech industries -- AI & cloud compute, electric-car power electronics, and 5G/6G wireless. We have managed to produce the world's first single-crystal diamond wafers and are now on a mission to put a diamond behind every chip. We are the rare unicorn that has grown fast and profitably. We received $515m in funding and are executing a multi-$B expansion plan for one of the greenest forms of tech manufacturing: converting greenhouse gas into diamond wafers using zero-emission energy. Diamond Foundry is looking to hire a highly skilled electrician to join our facilities team. This person will assist with designing our next-generation equipment as well as installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical equipment. The right candidate will ensure safety by observing the local, state, and national electrical-code regulations that pertain to their work. He or she may work at multiple plants in Wenatchee and directly with plant personnel.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of Journeyman-level experience with a current Washington EL01 License.
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety practices (NFPA 70E).
  • Skilled in working on 480V power distribution systems, troubleshooting control signals and instrumentation, and using electrical test equipment (Multimeter, Megohmmeter, Hipot, Process Calibrator).
  • Knowledgeable in electrical codes/regulations (including NFPA 79, UL 508).
  • Able to read and update schematics, blueprints, and technical documents.
  • Hands-on experience in control system design, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting in industrial environments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Self-motivated with sound decision-making abilities.
  • Capable of performing physically demanding tasks (lifting, climbing, crawling, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, improvement, and documentation of electrical control panels, assemblies, and systems, including component selection, mechanical layout, cabling, and packaging.
  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial control/electrical systems (e.g., power supplies, controllers, sensors, PLCs), install and maintain plant components (transformers, switchgear, motors, motor controllers), and plan/execute upgrades and retrofits to improve reliability and capabilities.
  • Collaborate on multidisciplinary teams and work individually to solve complex problems and complete projects successfully.
  • Interpret technical documents accurately, follow safety procedures, and apply a strong working knowledge of electrical codes during assignments.
  • Lead quality assurance measures and inspections, and drive design changes to enhance existing equipment performance and reliability.
