About The Position

WACKER SILICONES is one of the world’s biggest silicone manufacturers with silicone-based system solutions and over 3,000 different products. At our Adrian site, we are currently looking for a Plant Electrical Engineer to be a part of our growing team. Job Responsibilities The Plant E&IC Engineer supports daily production and maintenance activies including troubleshooting, maintenance reliability, optimization, data collection, programming and safety analysis Responsible for creating and overseeing maintenance and capital projects which support the plant. This support will include planning, monitoring and controlling of various project tasks. The Plant E&IC Engineer will work and guide external engineering and construction contractors to fulfill and comply with all project and work related tasks. Collaborates with safety, quality assurance, and production leaders to ensure all local, state and federal regulations are met. Requires working on a multi-discipline team with clear, open and great communication along with excellent team player skills. This position is based at the Adrian MI location supporting the Silicones Division. This role is not eligible for remote work. Due to 24/7 plant operations and project scheduling this position will be asked to support this plant, by way or after hour phone calls or PLC logins on weekends and holidays. There may be non-standard work schedules required from time to time. This position can require domestic and international travel at times depending on project assignments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 2 Years of Experience in Related Field
  • E&IC Plant Engineering with experience working with 480VAC/120VAC/24VDC feeds and controls
  • Experience with Rockwell PLCs, VFDs and controls
  • Experience with electrical design and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with Project Management
  • Up to 10% travel annually
