About The Position

Generally be responsible for performing all aspects for complete designs of small and large electrical and instrumentation engineering assignments using theoretical knowledge and practical design methods. This work will be performed under general supervision. Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Be the site’s electrical authority—plan and oversee maintenance, upgrades, and electrical outages (switchgear, breakers, substations). Drive reliability engineering initiatives—analyze failures, implement corrective actions, and optimize system performance. Lead capital projects—from concept to completion—balancing budgets, compliance, and innovation. Supervise and mentor contractors and technicians, ensuring safety-first practices (Arc Flash, Lockout/Tagout). Champion SCADA & smart technology—supporting and upgrading our Energy Data Information System (EDIS) for better monitoring and efficiency. Share your expertise by training plant teams on new electrical technologies and safety standards. Keep us future-ready with strategic plans for system expansions, digital upgrades, and reliability improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university is required.
  • This position requires 3+ years of relevant industrial experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering.
  • Proven expertise with power distribution systems (480V–12.47kV), preventive maintenance, and power quality assessments.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards (Arc Flash, Lockout/Tagout).
  • Experience managing budgets, contractors, and engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with SCADA systems, power meters, and relay programming.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to influence, train, and inspire others.
  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineering registration is highly preferred.
