About The Position

As a Plant Coordinator, you will lead and support hourly production teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality operations at the North Kansas City facility. This role oversees daily production activities, partners with maintenance and scheduling, drives continuous improvement, and upholds strong safety, compliance, and teamwork standards across the plant. This role report to the Plant Coordinator, Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Business Management, or a related field or a minimum of 5 years of effective supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with SAP and Aspen systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work any shift—including nights, weekends, holidays—and provide coverage during supervisor vacancies and vacations.
  • Strong communication and influence skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization and drive change through clear, professional communication.
  • Ability to lead in a dynamic, fast‑paced unionized environment, working with minimal direction while guiding and supporting hourly production teams.
  • Excellent multi‑tasking, time management, and organizational skills to balance production demands, safety requirements, and maintenance coordination.
  • Proactive, innovative, and improvement‑focused mindset, with a willingness to challenge the status quo and offer new ideas.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the key contact during any environmental, health, and safety emergencies, serving as the Incident Commander. Provide first responder services based on training and coordinate necessary notifications internally or externally.
  • Manage and allocate resources for emergency maintenance activities within the facility.
  • Lead efficient plant operations by maintaining oversight, recognizing operational trends, and facilitating resolutions.
  • Identify and communicate process improvement opportunities across manufacturing processes.
  • Support management with training, capital projects, and initiatives to enhance plant efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Operations, EHS, and Engineering teams to align with business goals
