Your role at Delta Faucet: The Plant Controller will supervise all accounting and financial functions for our plant, including distribution operations. This position is crucial in offering actionable insights to plant leadership to promote cost reduction, operational excellence, and strategic decision-making. Manage the general ledger, month-end close, budgeting, payroll, and financial report preparation consistently. Reporting directly to the Category Controller, this role will work closely with Finance teams at headquarters, plant leadership, and other Masco locations. The Plant Controller is responsible for overseeing financial operations within the plant, with performance formally evaluated through the effective management and reporting of cost per earned hour, the maintenance of precise cycle count records, and the prevention of SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) control deficiencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting (CMA/CPA preferred) with 5–7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, Word); experience with Syteline and SAP ERP systems preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills; able to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
  • High attention to detail with an uncompromising focus on accuracy.
  • Ability to navigate and resolve complex, unstructured problems independently.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal direction in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the implementation of all accounting policies and procedures to guarantee complete adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.
  • Coordinate salary and hourly payroll with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage the month-end close process, including financial reporting and variance analysis.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for labor, overhead, scrap, and capital by implementing actionable variance analysis.
  • Partner with operations to provide financial support for continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze overhead spending, labor efficiency, and cost drivers to identify potential issues and savings opportunities.
  • Deliver timely, clear, and insightful financial reports to plant management and headquarters.
  • Coordinate cycle-count and inventory control programs, including reconciliations and compliance with corporate standards.
