About The Position

As the primary finance and accounting leader at the site, and part of the site management team, this role involves providing analysis, management reporting, planning, and accounting support to our growing global business and provide financial leadership and guidance to site management. The ability to work independently is crucial, Preparation of financial statements, forecasts, timely analytics and communication, and support of site and corporate objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and at least 5 years’ related experience within a manufacturing company, including 3 years of previous Controller experience.
  • Must be highly computer literate with data mining and ERP systems. ERP systems implementation experience a plus.
  • A continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, time management and analytical skills. Requires deadline driven, high-energy individual, able to work autonomously and lead as key contributor on teams.
  • The individual will be expected to be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the accounting and finance field, including cost accounting. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Be able to perform a variety of tasks and work under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA/MBA/CMA/CPIM a plus.
  • Experience in a medical device manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Experience in dealing with complex BOMs and inventory transactions is a plus.
  • Experience with IQMS and Cognos products would be plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Completes all Controllership activities for the Sandy, UT plant.
  • Actively engages as part of the site leadership team, fostering business relationships by partnering with fellow site leaders and departments to make more informed decisions.
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial reports for site management and divisional leaders.
  • Assist in preparing monthly forecast through collaboration with site and division leaders.
  • Preparation of full budget including financial statements, revenue-margins, capital expenditures, and headcount.
  • Monitor and provide analysis of revenues, margins, product costing, scrap, variances, and other expenses to help “tell the story”, and drive profitability improvements. Assures that SPG and DuPont financial policies and procedures are implemented according to corporate policy in support of the highest possible level of financial integrity and reliability.
  • Responsible for spearheading implementation of ERP Inventory module.
  • Create annual labour and overhead standards.
  • Inventory analysis and monitoring inventory reserve.
  • Completes full cycle month end close activities and reporting
  • Provide support to internal and external auditors.
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with all SPG and Dupont safety policies and procedures. Actively promote and drive a culture of safety.
  • Other duties as assigned
