  • Responsible for leading all operations accounting and finance activities for Baxter's manufacturing facility in Cleveland, Mississippi.
  • Provide proactive decision support, financial expertise, and solutions to help the plant achieve objectives.
  • Implement policies and procedures for reporting and internal controls.
  • Lead the team in completion of reporting and planning requirements.
  • Drive cost improvements and achieve financial objectives.
  • Lead the comprehensive Manufacturing Plant planning and reporting processes - quarterly forecasts, operating plans, monthly spending analysis, and weekly estimates to plans/forecasts.
  • Provide proactive leadership for all operating forecast and estimate updates throughout the year as well as the annual operating plan and strategic plan.
  • Work cross-functionally to identify and develop actions to recover financial misses.
  • Lead compliance with internal controls, GAAP, and Baxter Financial Policies and Procedures.
  • Ensure that decision support services are provided to other departments.
  • Provide financial modeling/business decision support on all plant investments and new business initiatives.
  • Support plant capacity, VIP initiatives, and capital spending reviews/analysis.
  • Partner with global finance support teams to provide accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or country equivalent).
  • Demonstration of key finance competencies and qualifications and typically 8 or more years of experience with emphasis in cost accounting and budgeting.
  • Strong business acumen and judgment as well as understanding of relevant business environment.
  • Ability to effectively influence and drive consensus with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience leading cost accounting, financial reporting and budgeting/forecasting activities.
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable working in ERP software (JDE) and experience in Excel, Power Point, Word.
  • Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles.
  • CPA and/or MBA preferred.
  • Key Finance Competency knowledge and proficiency: Business Performance Management, Financial Analysis and Decision Support, Business Process and Data Management, Risk Management.
