Entry Level Chemical Operator responsibilities include: Read and interpret batch tickets to identify the correct raw materials in the correct quantities Pick raw materials from the warehouse and transport to the staging area via fork truck Accurately weighing and recording material charges and times on documents and in database (SAP) Verify picked materials are correct in partnership with Reactor Operator Charge base Polyester Resin and raw materials to blend tanks remotely (from control room) and manually to make finished product. Loading finished product into tank trucks, drums, totes and other packaging types. While wearing full PPE (Uniform, Tyvek suit, full-face respirator, hardhat, cut resistant gloves + chemical resistant gloves) Charging activities are very physical as batch sizes range from 20,000lbs to 100,000lbs and summer temperatures are high Clean area after charge and dispose of used packaging to dumpster Daily Job Expectations: Work safely and follow all policies and procedures; Attendance and punctuality Identify and report unsafe conditions immediately; Check equipment for unsafe unusual conditions and correct or report findings to maintenance; Follow all site safety policies and wear appropriate PPE; Perform daily utility rounds and aide in basic troubleshooting of equipment; Ensure that Routine Job Tasks are completed; Maintain a clean and orderly work area; Continuously focus on teamwork, communication, and doing your best to do a good job; Participate on the Safety Action Committee; This job is not appropriate for individuals with chemical sensitivity. Employees who display sensitivity to the chemicals present at the site despite using standard required safety measures may be subject to reassignment or termination of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Verify picked materials are correct in partnership with Reactor Operator
  • Charge base Polyester Resin and raw materials to blend tanks remotely (from control room) and manually to make finished product.
