About The Position

We are hiring multiple part‑time Plant Care Specialists to maintain healthy, attractive plant displays for our clients at Costco locations. This role ensures all plant products are fresh, well‑watered, visually appealing, and organized for customers throughout the day. This is a 3-month project running from March 31st to June 30th, supporting two plant care programs with both morning and afternoon shifts. Together, they require a mix of daily short visits 7 days a week and twice‑weekly visits. Each part‑time team member will complete a portion of the scheduled plant‑care visits. Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • Must be proficient using your personal Android or Apple device (Smartphone/Tablet) with GPS functionality to upload photos, report assignment data, and reference documents
  • Able to complete paid online training courses in the required timeline before working in-store
  • Must be 18 years of age or older and legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Regularly stand, walk, bend over, reach overhead, crouch, kneel, balance, grasp, push or pull, talk and/or hear, and drive
  • Regularly lift and carry 20+ pounds
  • Non-slip rubber soled shoes will be needed and required as you will be watering plants

Nice To Haves

  • Previous merchandising, customer service, and/or retail experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to collaborate and interact with and in-store personnel

Responsibilities

  • Check-in with the store manager upon arrival and communicate any needs
  • Locate client plant displays and confirm which products are available that day (using our designated company app on your mobile device)
  • Check plants for watering needs, move plant racks to the designated area for watering, and dispose of unhealthy plants
  • Use the watering backpack provided by the store team
  • Condense plants on racks to keep them full for business hours ensuring oldest looks good & is first choice on display
  • Take pictures of products placed (using our designated company app on your mobile device)
  • Move empty racks to the holding area behind the store
