About The Position

At Pall Corporation, a Danaher operating company, the Plant Buyer 2 role is crucial in negotiating favorable terms, volume discounts, and long-term contracts with suppliers. This position involves preparing and processing requisitions and purchase orders for the procurement of goods, services, and supplies for customer-related business processes or for internal use. The role also includes conducting the complete development life cycle, which encompasses interviewing users, developing requirements documents, creating design specifications, and implementing requirements. The Plant Buyer 2 will drive ongoing supplier optimization and continuous improvement, contributing to the company's mission of saving lives through innovative solutions in life sciences, diagnostics, and biotechnology.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant buying, supply chain, and logistics experience.
• Proficient in utilizing MS Office, Email, and Excel.
• Experience working with SAP.
• Ability to remain organized, manage time effectively, and engage appropriately with suppliers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Identifies material shortages, overdesign, and issues, then implements effective countermeasures through structured problem-solving.
• Maintains deployed Kanbans to ensure alignment with manufacturing site needs and Plan for Every Part (PFEP) requirements.
• Oversees daily creation and maintenance of purchase orders, ensuring accurate tracking, timely delivery, and vendor payments aligned with authorized terms.
• Collaborates with Warehouse and Accounts Payable teams to monitor and correct erroneous receipts and invoices, ensuring financial and operational accuracy.
• Works with the materials team to provide sourcing teams and vendors with accurate usage data, supporting Heijunka principles and supplier alignment.
