The Administrative Assistant at Atkore plays a crucial role in providing administrative support to ensure smooth operations within the organization. Requirements

  • Minimum educational requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Associates Degree with a Business Administration focus preferred.
  • 2-3 years administrative experience in a manufacturing setting or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to complete multiple projects on time with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good understanding of basic math for quick and accurate counting and calculations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior success as an Administrative Assistant or equivalent position experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing reports, memos, letters, and other documents as needed.
  • Performing general office duties such as ordering supplies.
  • Maintaining records management database systems and retention.
  • Updating records of continuous improvement report.
  • Managing inventory sub ledger and general ledger variance report responsibility.
  • Transforming raw data into reports.
  • Handling production entry and invoicing.
  • Sending paperwork for received purchase orders to the accounts payable department for payment processing.
  • Entering data for Environmental, Health & Safety related activities.
  • Assisting human resources with new hire orientations.
  • Answering phone calls and directing calls to appropriate parties or taking messages.
  • Analyzing incoming mail, memos, submissions, and reports to determine their significance and plan their distribution.
  • Performing other related duties and projects as assigned.
