About The Position

Shaw Industries is looking to hire and train Creelers who will play an important role in the manufacturing and distribution of a variety of flooring solutions for our residential and commercial customers. We are looking for individuals who are motivated, interested in learning various skills, and who enjoy problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Scan in system and pull job assignment duties from the creeler assignment Kiosk.
• Pull empty cones and/or tubes.
• Ensure proper placement of yarn packages on the holders and that the yarn packages match the yarn lot number being used for that machine.
• Splice the end of the new yarn package into the tail of the package that is currently running.
• Neatly organize and place all cones, tubes, and cardboard in a location that can be easily picked up by the lift truck driver.
• Aspirate/Strip dirty yarn off cones and use tube spreader on crushed cones when possible.
• Notify Creel Lead of any non-conforming yarn.
• Keep the area surrounding assigned machines clean.
• Assist the LTO by staging yarn dollies and moving yarn into creels.
• Help run knots at the end of a creel change when requested by Creel Lead or Supervisor.
