About The Position

This position will be responsible for the operation of a variety of different saws and other machinery in the production of cutting Hard Surface Panels and Mezz chips in accordance with production and quality standards.

Requirements

• Must be able to change the saw blade
• Push pallets from the staging area to saw
• Must be detail oriented
• Must be able to work independently without close supervision
• Must have good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience operating the following: Miter Saw, Tiger Saw, Rip (table) Saw, Drill Press, and Planer
• Experience with computers and measuring devices

Responsibilities

• Able to operate all the following machines: Miter Saw, Tiger Saw, Rip Saw, Drill Press, and Planer
• Able to comprehend and interpret customer instructions
• Able to determine how to cut product to get the most yield while following how the customer wants their Hard Surface Panels
• Set up saw gears/enter correct programs in saws to make saws cut the correct size plank needed
• Use computer to enter cuts made in ASAP and Production screen
• Update work order statuses after cutting and place material in proper floor locations
• Maintain a clean, trip hazard-free work area at all times
• Clean saws and empty vacuums at the end of the shift
• Perform any duties necessary to aid in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment
• Check tape measure before each shift for defects or damage
• Maintain production needs
