About The Position

The Maintenance Reliability Technician B position at Shaw Industries focuses on executing maintenance tasks with an emphasis on safety, quality, and customer service. The role involves maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance, contributing to manufacturing processes and business objectives. The technician will also mentor junior staff and participate in proactive maintenance planning.

Requirements

• Knowledge of safety practices including LOTO, Confined Space, PPE, and Hot Work.
• Proficiency in computer applications for work order documentation and parts requisitioning.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Math skills including arithmetic and application of formulas for measurements.
• Experience with power transmission systems and component installation techniques.
• Basic fabrication skills including knowledge of welding and cutting techniques.
• Intermediate troubleshooting techniques of mechanical systems.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Infrared Thermography and oil sample analysis for predictive maintenance.
• Familiarity with precision alignment techniques for direct coupled elements.

Responsibilities

• Execute assigned tasks with a focus on safe work practices and high-quality standards.
• Maintain manufacturing process and support equipment to optimal performance levels.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment affecting safety, quality, and productivity.
• Communicate findings and corrective actions to operations and maintenance leadership.
• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance plans on assigned equipment.
• Mentor Reliability Techs C & D in skill development and assist Reliability Tech A's and Leads.
• Provide feedback on job assignment needs and improvement opportunities.
