About The Position

As a Gas Station Attendant at H-E-B, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the smooth operation of gas dispensers. You will be responsible for cash handling, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to safety standards, all while working in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Strong customer service skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Math skills.
• Ability to work independently without supervision.
• Completion of Safety training and Company Orientation upon hire.
• Completion of Fuel Interface POS Certification upon hire.
• Completion of ACR Checker certification, AST certification, and Fire Extinguisher certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Ensure gas dispensers are operating correctly.
• Collect money for purchased products.
• Provide superior customer service to all customers.
• Observe the flow of vehicles being filled with gasoline.
• Occasionally assist customers with dispensing gasoline.
• Collect cash, checks, or charge payments from customers and make change for cash transactions.
• Accurately record purchases in the register.
• Maintain sanitation of the kiosk, dispensers, islands, and all station-related equipment.
• Maintain station logs as required.
• Comply with H-E-B safety and sanitation standards, and department and store SOPs.
