About The Position

The Planning Supervisor is responsible for coordinating cross-functional SIOP activities for forecasting, material planning, capacity planning, and production scheduling to maximize plant performance for key metrics including revenue fulfillment, on-time delivery, lead-time optimization, and inventory management. The role involves formulating a production master plan, organizing production schedules and targets, and ensuring maximum efficiency through timely solutions to identified risks. The supervisor will work with cross-functional teams on capacity planning, analyze capacity utilization, and propose solutions to management. Additionally, the supervisor will review business orders and sales forecasts, coordinate with various departments, monitor production status, drive KPI performance, and implement lean planning methods to meet customer expectations. Leadership and effective communication with the team and other departments are essential.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related discipline; MS or MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Manufacturing Planning, Process Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Operations Management.
  • Experience managing multiple direct reports.
  • Experience in capacity planning and statistical analysis.
  • Experience with ERP systems; Oracle preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience deploying lean methodologies.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Suite, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Detail-oriented and thorough.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • APICS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate cross-functional SIOP activities for forecasting, material planning, capacity planning, and production scheduling.
  • Formulate production master plan and organize production targets.
  • Work with cross-functional teams on capacity planning and analyze capacity utilization.
  • Conduct production requirement analysis and propose necessary resources.
  • Review business orders and sales forecasts, coordinating with the commercial operation team.
  • Weekly review of factory capacity loading based on customer orders and forecasts.
  • Monitor production status and adjust plans as needed.
  • Drive and monitor KPI performance and process improvements.
  • Improve material planning accuracy and maintain inventory levels.
  • Perform shortage analysis and manage aging raw materials and WIP.
  • Implement and develop processes and tools for planning activities.
  • Provide effective leadership and ensure team training.
  • Complete tasks assigned by the supply chain manager.
