Project Overview: The Infrastructure GBU's Renewables & Clean Power business line is pursuing a combined cycle power plant project in
Texas. The candidate may start in the home office in Reston, or on project site in Texas, as single status. The candidate will locate on a long-term assignment to the project in Texas, pending project award. Job Summary: In this position, you will work with the project team to lead a team to manage the entire set of planning activities for assigned projects. You will identify schedule trends, analyze data to provide innovative solutions to scheduling challenges, ensure schedule updates are completed on time, and be responsible for reporting requirements. Your leadership will be essential in driving scheduling efficiency and project success. #LI-JL1"This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership”

Requirements

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in engineering, construction management, business or related field and 13 - 15 years of relevant experience or 17 - 19 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in delivering large-scale combined cycle power projects or similar process plants
• Experience in delivering fully integrated EPC projects
• Advanced level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes, as performed by Bechtel
• Significant experience of leading, managing and organizing teams of diverse backgrounds and experience to meet project objectives
• Advanced skill in Primavera P6 and proficient in Microsoft Office 365 software applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Excellent skill in oral and written communication, including experience presenting information to internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to take initiative in project related tasks and coordination with various stakeholders, including senior management

Responsibilities

• Accountable for the development, maintenance, and forecasting of the project schedule
• Establishes operational objectives and work plans, and delegates assignments to subordinates
• Communicates with senior project management overall schedule progress, opportunities, and challenges
• Regularly interacts with the client
• Performs schedule development duties to include establishing the work breakdown structure (WBS), determining the work activity duration, establishing the proper workflow logic ties, and developing the required job expenditure
• Identifies schedule trends for management attention
• Determines critical-path activities for the project
• Develops critical path schedule reports and schedule performance metrics
• Identifies and reports activities that have a critical or potential impact on the schedule
• Monitors and analyzes subcontractor schedules
• Evaluates subcontractor schedules for required workarounds or potential schedule improvements
• Ensure schedule updates are provided on time to support project reporting requirements
