Job Summary: We are seeking a creative and motivated Entry-Level Landscape Designer to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to launch your career by working on diverse projects while being mentored by experienced BGE employees. You will transition from theoretical knowledge to practical application, collaborating with engineers and planners to produce high-quality landscape architectural plans.

Requirements

  • Before starting employment, must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign .
  • Competency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are essential for coordinating with clients and internal teams.
  • A strong collaborator who is eager to learn and thrives in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Willingness and ability to work in a BGE office.
  • Full-time (Monday–Friday)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SketchUp, Rhino, or Lumion is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of construction documents, site plans, and planting plans using AutoCAD and Land F/X .
  • Produce high-quality renderings, illustrative graphics, and presentations for client meetings.
  • Participate in site analysis, inventory, and construction observation visits as needed.
  • Attend specific training events and activities geared toward career development and licensure.
  • Work closely within a multidisciplinary team, coordinating with landscape architects, designers, planners, and engineers to develop cohesive design concepts.
