We have an immediate need for a Planning Engineer at our aerospace location in Rockford, ILL. The primary focus of this role is to design, implement, and optimize manufacturing or industrial processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, civil, electrical, mechanical, or petroleum engineering.
• Basic computer skills and practical application of software programs.
• Ability to contribute in a team environment.
• Effective communication skills in both oral and written form, including technical writing.
• Ability to think analytically and solve fundamental problems.
• Efficient in using Microsoft Office Excel, teams, project, pivot tables.
• Understanding and ability to identify a large scope project and report potential issues within the process.
• Must be a US Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production workflows, identify bottlenecks, and develop solutions using engineering principles and data analysis.
• Developing and refining processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Leading initiatives to implement new technologies, refine existing methods, and enhance production workflows.
• Working closely with production teams, quality assurance, and management to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensuring that all processes adhere to safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Using software to simulate processes and identify potential bottlenecks or improvements.
