Your Responsibilities a Planning Development Manager: Develop an annual revenue goal and implement plan to achieve this target. Maintain a persistent internal Business Development communication process. Maintain contact with clients and vendors by meeting regularly with key clients to discuss current projects, correlates all pertinent information, resolves conflict, evaluates firm performance, and identifies other business opportunities either with current clients or through referrals. Identify and solicit potential clients/projects, as appropriate, and keep Sector Leaders, operations, and business lines up to date on new sales, new opportunities, and account issues/news. Communicate Quality Assurance: Train Teams to practice responsive, client-focused communication. Enhance and maintain office, regional, and national communication and awareness as it relates to the practice. Quality Management: Identifies areas needing improvement and recommends corrective action to improve overall project performance. Conducts project kick-off meetings for project team enlightenment and project enrichment to assure there is a necessary understanding of project approach and what the execution plan and schedule for each project will be. Develop Staff: Build, manage and maintain a team of Project Managers and Designers/Planners Training: Follow up on any training requested by employee’s, identify training tools for team (Lunch & Learn, Red Vector, etc.) Mentor staff on industry knowledge, project knowledge, process knowledge and best practices. Establish and achieve financial objectives: Maintain project budget and schedule. Analyze variances (e.g., scope creep) Negotiate changes in scope/contact. Invoice and collect payment per contract terms. Initiate corrective actions. Report results to management. Maintain Professional and technical knowledge: Attend educational workshops. Review professional and market segment publications. Establish personal networks. Participate in applicable professional societies and trade associations.
