About the position
The Planning and Zoning Administrator is a full-time role responsible for overseeing the administration of the Town's Zoning Code and Comprehensive Plan. This position involves permitting, plan reviewing, and collaboration with the Town Planning & Zoning Commission and the Board of Zoning Appeals. The ideal candidate will possess municipal zoning experience and demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Administer the Town's Zoning Code and Comprehensive Plan.
- Manage permitting processes and plan reviews.
- Collaborate with the Town Planning & Zoning Commission.
- Work closely with the Board of Zoning Appeals.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and the public.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in urban planning or a closely related field.
- AICP Certification is preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience in a municipal environment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
