The Planning and Production Control Specialist will perform a variety of technical and business tasks in support of production factories or programs. This individual will support the associated tasks listed below which are necessary to prevent a work stoppage or a slip in schedule, both of which would have a significant impact on the factory and/or program’s cost and schedule requirements. This position will also directly support CORE and other continuous improvements. This is a second shift position.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum five (5) years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum three (3) years' experience.
  • Experience with either Supply Chain, Production or Planning Control, MRP, Inventory Management, Capacity Planning, Property Management, JIT Concepts, Master Production Scheduling, and or Delivery Administration
  • Experience with SAP or PRISM.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Government and Depot type processes
  • Experience with formula applications and creating pivot tables in MS Excel
  • Experience reading and evaluating lists of parts required for production work and working with a production planning system

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and coordinate training needs to better utilize metrics and system accuracy.
  • Evaluate and improve process flows regarding the assemblies that are in progress, material availability, and potential production problems.
  • Propose solutions to mitigate any work stoppage the factory teams may experience due to any slips in material orders.
  • Controls on hand material through its life cycle; issue to work orders or projects, returns to suppliers, ships to customers, etc.
  • Support analysis of multiple and moderate complexity, Bills of Material in an MRP system; releasing work orders and tracking material though the assembly process
  • Coordinate interdepartmental activities with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, and engineering.
