About The Position
This is a highly responsible position within the Community Development Department. The Planner is responsible for professional work in the management and administration of a variety of activities related to planning, zoning, housing, redevelopment and sustainability. This position navigates the intersection where planning and economic development meet to create a holistic approach that achieves the redevelopment priorities of the City. The role includes administering land use regulations, supporting development review, and leading updates to the zoning ordinance and comprehensive plan. Work is performed with considerable independence under the general supervision of the Community Development Director.
