About The Position

The Planner at Dassault Falcon Jet is responsible for creating, maintaining, and publishing maintenance plans that align with operational needs while optimizing yield and minimizing costs. This role involves planning and scheduling both short and long-term maintenance requirements, collaborating closely with customers and internal teams, and developing work packages that consider various operational factors. The Planner also monitors compliance and inspection programs, manages work center capacities, and provides data to support sales proposals.

Requirements

  • Business school education or equivalent (Associate Degree desired).
  • Five years of direct broad experience in aviation.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple complex projects.
  • Mathematical competency.
  • Strong personal computer knowledge, including MS Office and scheduling software.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to use quantitative data in labor scheduling models for decision making.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and publish maintenance plans to meet operational needs.
  • Plan and schedule short and long-term maintenance requirements.
  • Develop work packages considering maintenance skills, tooling, materials, and available man-hours.
  • Provide feedback on compliance and inspection programs by analyzing customer projects.
  • Maintain a current database of work center capacities, shifts, and manpower requirements.
  • Perform capacity planning simulations for Sales as needed.
  • Develop and sequence tasks using flow charts for efficient maintenance work.
  • Recommend solutions to capacity problems to management.
  • Identify material requirements for sold work packages and order accordingly.
  • Track and report material delivery issues prior to aircraft arrival.
  • Define, monitor, and revise standard resource requirements for maintenance activities.
  • Assemble work order packages including maintenance forms and technical data.
  • Communicate with customers, vendors, and various department managers to support needs.
  • Assist Sales in determining lead time or downtime requirements for projects.
  • Provide Gantt Charts for proposals and planning.
  • Monitor actual performance vs. planned performance to keep capacity planning current.
  • Observe company rules and safety policies as they apply to the Planning and Scheduling Department.
