Our Space division in East Aurora, NY is looking for a Planner to join our dynamic team! Internally known as a Program Planner, this person will be responsible for communication and maintaining relationships with the technicians and performance leads who execute the schedules produced, as well as the program managers and value stream managers who govern the sales order schedules and customer satisfaction. Reporting to the Planning Process Manager, you will also be coordinating with the shop planning and procurement teams to understand status updates, risk assessments, data analyses, and tactical leadership are also core functions of the role, while managing multiple priorities to meet business deadlines. This position is a first shift, on-site role.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, or a related field ~OR~ An Associate’s degree in Business, Analytics, or a related field, and 4 years planning experience ~PLUS~
  • Demonstrated knowledge of MRP planning processes
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Strong sense of urgency

Nice To Haves

  • An advanced degree or professional certifications are a plus
  • Experience using Kinaxis Rapid Response
  • Experience supporting lean manufacturing

Responsibilities

  • Acting as a leader within the organization representing supply chain
  • Creating schedules
  • Identifying risk to schedule slips
  • Releasing requisitions
  • Providing completion dates
  • Maintaining planning parameters for components and assemblies
  • Providing report-outs with effective communication
  • Participating in problem-solving initiatives cross-functionally
  • Participating in continuous improvement activities for the function or business unit
