Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 5+ years of Control Valve Tech maintenance experience and/or CV maintenance planning
  • 5+ years as a Control Valve Planner
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing test /work packages for issuance to the field
  • Able to achieve various State mandated certifications, TWIC, and other requirements as may be deemed necessary.
  • Pass Criminal background investigation.
  • Individuals will be subject to pre-employment, reasonable cause periodic, random, and post-accident drug and alcohol testing.
  • High ethical standards - unwilling to compromise on worker safety and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Understand Preventive Maintenance programs and how to translate that to work packages.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&ID’s, valve specs, and location plans.
  • Able to read BOM’s and identify parts needed for valve overhauls.
  • Organizing materials through quoting prices and ensuring the correct parts are ordered for jobs.
  • Ability to QA/QC valves and work packages after work completion.
  • Able to work without close supervision.
  • Accepts direction, criticism, and supervision.
  • Demonstrates ability to remain calm in demanding situations.
  • Proficient in the use of computers and business software, including Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook) and SAP.
  • Makes good use of time, completing assigned tasks in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Create job planning packages for each work order per Air Products guidelines for both internal and external distribution, e.g. bid events, contractor field personnel, etc. Packages may include pictures, P&IDs, BOMs, tools, safe work procedures, applicable standards, QC requirements, etc.
  • Provide leadership in risk management, contractor safety, and mitigating safety issues in operations.
  • Create detailed planning activities in Cleopatra for each work order utilizing planning templates as applicable. Activities include individual tasks, manpower, durations, and assigned discipline.
  • Assists with the development of the control valve work scope.
  • Work a wide variety of scheduled days and hours, following strict fatigue management guidelines.
  • Coordinate and manage the control valve scope for an outage.
  • Provide daily schedule updates during outage execution.
  • Support Air Products Management of Change process, recognizing plant changes and following through on all documentation and recommendations in a timely manner.
