About The Position

Our client, a leading energy company, is seeking an experienced Planner Scheduler - Level 2 to join their Engineering & Construction team in Juno Beach, FL. This is an exciting 8-month contract opportunity paying $34/hour for a professional with 6-10 years of experience in power system operations and scheduling. You'll play a critical role in scheduling and dispatching generation resources, ensuring compliance with NERC reliability standards, and optimizing energy operations in real-time system conditions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or professional certification required
• 6-10 years of experience in scheduling, operations, or power system planning
• Experience in load forecasting, transmission and distribution operations
• Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification required
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record (no alcohol/drug offenses in past 5 years)

Nice To Haves

• Real-time system planning experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch generation resources to economically balance load and generation
• Evaluate and approve OASIS requests and Tags while performing energy accounting functions
• Develop and maintain work orders ensuring regulatory compliance and efficient execution
• Coordinate committing, decommitting, and outages of power plants with System Operators
• Perform load forecasting to optimize generation dispatch mix
• Lead scheduling processes for maintenance, compliance, and project execution
• Conduct root cause analysis for operational efficiency improvements
• Ensure rapid recovery from loss of generation to comply with NERC requirements
