About The Position

Electrical & Instrumentation Field Planner Qualifications P6 Experience preferred Ability to read and interpret electrical and instrumentation drawings and PID’s. • Experience in preparing and reviewing test / work packages for issuance to the field. • 3+ years as an Electrical and Instrumentation Planner. • Proficient in the use of computers and business software, including Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook) SAP, Primavera P6, Adobe. • 5+ years of Electrical/Instrumentation journey-level maintenance experience and/or Instrumentation Maintenance planning. • 5+ Years of experience in Electrical and Instrumentation construction. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • Assists with the development of the electrical and instrument work scope. • Identify, scope, and produce construction work packages for execution. • Perform and lead field walks for site verification. • Provide leadership in risk management, contractor safety, and mitigating safety issues in operations • Organizing materials through expediting, quoting prices, and ensuring the correct parts are available for jobs • Create detailed planning activities in P6 for each work order utilizing planning templates as applicable. Activities include individual tasks, manpower, durations, and assigned discipline. • Provide daily schedule updates during outage execution. • Create job planning packages for each work order per Client guidelines for both internal and external distribution, e.g. bid events, contractor field personnel, etc. Packages may include pictures, P&IDs, BOMs, tools, safe work procedures, applicable standards, QC requirements, etc. • Support Client Management of Change process, recognizing plant changes and following through on all documentation and recommendations in a timely manner. • Ability to effectively communicate scope, revisions, and activity breakdowns to other groups. • Uphold and communicate high standards of housekeeping in assigned areas and on all job sites. Conduct frequent formal housekeeping inspections of plant areas. • Complete close out and documentation as required by Air Products standards and procedures. PERFORMANCE STANDARD • Willing to work a wide variety of scheduled days and hours, following strict fatigue management guidelines. Assist in planning and execution of Electrical and Instrumentation jobs • Assists craft workers and supervisors in solving complex problems relating to all aspects of E&I jobs. • Responsible for developing detailed scope, documentation and insert into an executable work package. • Capable of reading and interpreting electrical drawings, manuals, schematics and P&I drawings, with strong general knowledge of electrical design and customer relations. • Able to field estimate activities and durations needed to complete a detailed schedule for both capital and cost jobs. • Able to build a detailed bill of materials compiled from drawings, scope and experience. • Understand inspection, operation, and performance requirements. Works closely with area management to ensure all client and business unit requirements are met. • Experienced at tracking all facets of scope development electronically. • Self-motivated, organized, ability to communicate with all levels of management • Holds tool box meetings and inspections necessary to achieve safety goals.. • Maintains good written records and utilizes SAP effectively. • Works with maintenance, operation asset managers and shift supervisors to plan prioritized work. • Develops work plan, creates material requisitions and orders materials needed to facilitate work Must be able to work as part of a team to ensure successful project planning and execution.
