About The Position
This position performs senior-level technical planning duties within guidelines that require interpretation. The Planning Technician 3 will provide primary counter support, issue development authorizations, schedule pre-application conferences, and provide timely and accurate land use information to front counter clients. The role involves responding to inquiries from the public and other agencies regarding land use laws, planning processes, development approvals, ordinance requirements, and floodplain information. The technician will review and authorize development requests, coordinate work activities with support staff, maintain records, and prepare application packets for administrative and quasi-judicial actions.
