About The Position

The position is responsible for executing supply plans. Responsible for production planning and scheduling based on direction by the Materials Manager, Materials Supervisor, and the Global Supply Planning team. Specifically, back up the Materials Manager and or the Materials Supervisor as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in supply chain roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with all levels of management and staff.
• Strong organizational, planning, attention to detail, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management systems.
• A sense of high urgency and customer service orientation.
• Knowledge of analytical thinking, problem solving, and execution of actions.

Nice To Haves

• Oracle experience preferred.
• APICS-CPIM certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute supply plans and production planning.
• Schedule production based on direction from management.
• Back up the Materials Manager and/or Materials Supervisor as needed.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of Zeus manufacturing and supply chain policies and procedures.
• Ensure execution of policy as it relates to operating plans.
• Follow supply chain business rules and practices.
• Work with the global supply planning team to identify correct safety stocks for finished goods and raw materials.
• Manage scheduling of jobs to ensure on-time delivery targets are met.
• Maximize machine utilization, capacity planning, and labor efficiencies.
• Create effective plant production schedules.
• Partner with plant production managers to optimize production schedules.
• Monitor jobs to ensure timely completion and report production issues.
• Address issues aiming for minimum disruption.
• Track customer supplier products and drive progress on schedule adherence.
• Forecast late orders and develop action plans to minimize them.
• Ensure standard life cycle of production jobs is followed.
• Oversee accurate record keeping, including scanned job packets and update files.
• Monitor and drive progress on error identification and prevention.
• Spend time weekly on the shop floor with materials and production teams.
• Perform periodic cycle counting.
• Complete additional assigned duties as needed.
