Position is responsible for researching, analyzing, and reporting on various planning projects and programs as part of the Comprehensive Plan. Incumbents are also involved with formulating, modifying and administering current and/or long-range master plans. Essential functions include: the provision of staff support related to planning projects, completion of research projects, data compilation including survey (questionnaire) work and lands records research, field evaluations and assessments, demographic analysis, grants administration, public outreach, public meeting facilitation, preparation of maps, charts, and planning reports, and the performance of other duties as assigned. Current vacancy has a focus on public outreach and community engagement. Incumbent will be required to facilitate and lead public meetings in order to elicit input on planning priorities and provide recommendations for plan adjustments in keeping with same. Experience with public speaking strongly desired, and ability to attend events outside of normal working hours required under this area of assignment.
