Job Summary Schedule the correct item, quantity, and time to provide smooth fiber products to support customer orders and maintain min-max levels that support both customer expectations and plant efficiencies as well as pre-building for promotions when possible.

Requirements

  • Completely understands the sales forecasting, inventory control and operational planning process.
  • Supply Chain Management.
  • Purchasing experience.
  • Proficient in excel.

Nice To Haves

  • BSBA or a combination of education and a minimum of 5 years progressive experience in operational planning, scheduling, inventory control and materials management.
  • Experience operating MRP/ERP systems a plus.
  • ISM Certification.
  • APICS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the weekly scheduling of Smooth Finish items at the SKU level.
  • Responsible for ordering components related to the Smooth fnish product lines to ensure uninterrupted supply to production.
  • Work with S&OP Manager tas it relates to Smooth Finish products to support demand forecasting.
  • Short term inventory analysis, min/max analysis, and forecast/demand review using a Rate Based planning tool.
  • Create and maintain shop orders to support the schedule.
  • Identify and report potential shortages with reason and recovery plans.
  • Assist the Purchasing Department with placing orders and maintaining components needed for production.
  • Manage and track the 13-week rolling schedule for Smooth Finish to include die changes, logo changes, and planned maintenance/PM services.
  • Assist and support manufacturing/maintenance activities through operations across departments and assist department supervisors in keeping assigned products on schedule.
