The Technical Ceramics business of Morgan Advanced Materials engineers high performance functional and structural ceramic materials, components and sub-assemblies to address customer-specific technical challenges. You’ll build and adjust production schedules, keep materials and capacity aligned, and work closely with the teams who make everything happen. When something shifts—and it always does—you’ll tweak the plan, reroute priorities, and keep everyone moving in the same direction.

Requirements

  • A BS degree or equivalent experience
  • 5–10 years in production planning or a closely related function
  • Strong knowledge of production control, supply chain concepts, and MRP II
  • Confident with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • A calm, organized approach to problem‑solving (especially when the plan blows up at 9 a.m.)
  • Clear and effective communication with cross‑functional teams
  • Ability to analyze data and turn it into practical decisions

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365—bonus points if you’ve survived an implementation
  • Manufacturing experience in a similar industry

Responsibilities

  • Run and adjust production schedules based on forecasts, orders, and capacity
  • Manage the flow of materials and parts between departments
  • Resolve schedule issues with production teams
  • Track performance and report status updates (the useful kind, not spreadsheets for the sake of spreadsheets)
  • Work with quality, shipping, and sales to shrink lead times and boost on‑time delivery
  • Monitor processes and spot opportunities to do things better, faster, or smarter
  • Ensure safety, environmental, and quality requirements are met
  • Jump into other tasks as needed—because production doesn’t always read the job description
