The Planner/ Buyer role is a key position in our Reno, Nevada operation, supporting the Stormwater Business Unit’s pump station product line. This position operates primarily in an office and shop environment, collaborating with internal project teams, operations, and vendors to manage day-to-day procurement and supply chain transactions. Reporting to the Materials Manager, you’ll primarily work with the Operational Manager, Engineering, and Operations teams to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and equipment. A highlight of your day-to-day will include: • Creating, processing, and tracking purchase orders in our ERP system (IFS) to ensure timely, cost-effective procurement. • Reviewing and converting requisitions from internal teams into accurate purchase orders. • Engaging vendors to confirm pricing, delivery timelines, and purchase terms. • Collaborating with warehouse and operations staff to ensure accurate receiving and inventory management. • Monitoring open orders, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining accurate vendor and order data in ERP and CRM (Salesforce) systems.
