About The Position

Boston Scientific (BSC) is seeking an experienced Planner/Buyer contractor to support production scheduling, material planning, purchasing, and inventory coordination for a 6-month onsite assignment.

Requirements

~6 years of planning, buying, or supply chain experience.
Strong understanding of production planning and purchasing workflows.
Experience working with suppliers and coordinating materials.
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and planning tools.

Responsibilities

Maintain and update BSC’s master production schedule.
Conduct 'what-if' analyses based on regulatory, supply, or demand changes.
Prepare planning reports, summaries, and presentations for internal meetings.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure material availability for production.
Participate in BSC Forecast, Allocation, Inventory, Supplier, and Delivery meetings.
Create purchase orders (POs) and maintain purchasing documentation aligned with BSC requirements.
Coordinate with suppliers on order acknowledgments, delivery commitments, and pricing updates.
Expedite materials to prevent shortages or schedule impacts.
Resolve supplier issues related to delays or constraints.
Collaborate with BSC teams to address supply risks and align on material requirements.
Track open orders, maintain lead times, and update ERP/MRP planning parameters.
