About The Position
The Planner, Athlete Partnerships - Fanatics Collectibles is a pivotal role responsible for coordinating signings between athletes, celebrities, and Fanatics Collectibles. This position serves as the central point of contact for all coordination efforts involving talent, agencies, representatives, and Fanatics Collectibles in the procurement of autographs for trading card products. The Planner will engage closely with various internal business units, including Project Management, Product Development, Operations, Finance, e-Commerce, and Marketing, while also maintaining daily correspondence with external agencies and Fanatics Collectibles witness representatives. In this role, the Planner will collaborate with Product Development and Project Management to ensure that autograph procurement aligns with production schedules and product deadlines. The responsibilities include acting as a liaison between Fanatics Collectibles and agents/athletes for the coordination of signings, managing and coordinating with witness representatives and team/player contacts for autograph signings, and spearheading strategies to optimize autograph signings throughout the product calendar year. The Planner will also prioritize and multitask projects and card signings based on deadlines and milestone calendar dates, lead cross-functional team meetings with Brand, Project Management, and Athlete Partnerships on a weekly basis, and review product checklists with Product Development for autograph requirements. Additionally, the role involves coordinating with Accounts Payable to ensure timely payments for all autograph signings, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, and fostering relationships with agents, marketing representatives, teams, and industry contacts. The Planner will oversee talent activations and marketing/licensing events, manage the onboarding portal for vendors, and ensure accurate transaction of inventory receipts and allocation of expenses to the appropriate GL accounts. Furthermore, the Planner will act as a liaison to multiple internal departments to implement fulfillment of contract requirements and payments, while maintaining databases for autograph agreements and individual player contracts, including required tax information for 1099 processing per IRS guidelines.
