Job Description: Assistant Operator Location: Plymouth, IN Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 12-Hour Rotating Shifts | Includes Rotating Weekends What You’ll Do Assist the Operator in setting up and running production lines to meet quality and efficiency standards. Catch planks as they come off the conveyor and stack them appropriately. Grind plank scrap at the line to support material recovery. Help assist the Operator during die changes. Operate forklifts and other powered industrial vehicles to stage materials and supplies. Perform quality checks including length/width, vacuum tests, and micrometer readings. Help minimize scrap and maximize material recovery. Support minor maintenance tasks and housekeeping duties. Ensure compliance with safety procedures and PPE requirements. Collaborate with team members across shifts for smooth transitions. Assist with troubleshooting and support the Maintenance Team when needed.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience required.
Prior manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
Ability to read a tape measure and document quality data.
Forklift and industrial vehicle operation experience.
Safety-conscious mindset and ability to follow standardized work instructions.

Nice To Haves

Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus.
