Plan Examination Trainees work alongside seasoned professionals to gain valuable experience, training, and mentoring in the research and review plans for the construction, alteration, or repair of buildings and building equipment systems. There is an opportunity for advancement to Assistant Plan Examiner, Electrical [Civil Service Title: Assistant Electrical Engineer] after one year of satisfactory service, subject to internal and oversight agency approvals; see below exam information. Receives training in and under close supervision performs work in the electrical engineering analysis of building equipment systems, and the examination of plans for the construction, alteration or repair of buildings’ electrical equipment systems totaling 1000kva or more, under the jurisdiction of the Department of Buildings:
