About The Position

The Chief Financial Officer will provide leadership and oversight of all aspects of finance for the Business Unit. This includes overseeing all finance-related activities for the business unit, developing and monitoring progress against the Annual Operating Plan, and ensuring compliance with state requirements. The CFO will be responsible for financial analysis, identifying month-end financial drivers, and forecasting, including headcount planning. Additionally, the role involves identifying medical cost trends and leading medical cost improvement initiatives. The CFO will perform financial impact analysis for new contracts, support negotiations, review monthly performance and financial results, and provide recommendations to senior management. The position also requires acting as the chief liaison between Corporate Finance and the Business Unit, establishing financial strategic vision, objectives, policies, and procedures in support of the overall strategic plan. The CFO will oversee and validate pricing models, lead initiatives to identify inefficiencies, direct health plan analytical needs, coordinate reporting strategy, act as a lead for internal and external audits, and lead rate-setting activity while coordinating with corporate and state actuaries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration required.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • 10+ years in a high-level finance role in the healthcare or insurance industry required.
  • CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight of all aspects of finance for the Business Unit.
